Nalys’ Terroirs, Focus on the Bois Sénéchal
The “Bois Sénéchal,” cadastral locality “Bois Sénéseau,” spreads over an area of nearly 20 hectares. Neighbouring the prestigious area of La Crau, and mainly exploited by Château de Nalys, this terroir is made of ancient stony alluvial soils of the Rhône, which rest on a bed of clay. The famous river pebbles of Châteauneuf-du-Pape thus keep their feet in the cool! This parcel, where the Mourdèvre likes to blossom, produces wines of powerful and round tannins, a unique and generous signature.
In the heart of winter, the Château de Nalys team takes advantage of the vegetative rest of the vines to cut short.
