THE VINEYARDS

We have been managing our vineyards according to the most exacting standards and methods of organic viticulture for many years now. The development of the vineyard is key to the production of fine wines and the diversity of the grape varieties being cultivated means that particular attention has to be paid to the vines throughout the seasons. At the heart of the Guigal family’s exacting standards lies their respect for these exceptional terroirs and a desire to get the most out of them. They have gently shifted to organic viticultural practices and undertaken significant works. Nearly three hectares of vines have been planted working the soils with extreme meticulousness and requiring 85,000 stakes to keep the plants upright. The Château de Nalys received HEV (High Environmental Value) certification in December 2019 and was certified organic from the 2023 vintage.
